Balmain murals
Painting a unique mural on the Autoport doors in Crescent St was the outcome of a successful business/artistic collaboration between garage proprietor Ian Jackson and local artist Glenda Jones.
It was a follow-on from the 1986 mural on the walls of the Darling St Shell garage where the portraits of Bill Evans and his crew (which included Ian Jackson) were painted.That particular mural was removed soon after the property was sold to the present owners and the garage demolished and replaced with apartments.
