Glenda Fell Jones is a practising Australian Artist.
Born in country Victoria, but working in Sydney for most of her career, she has developed a passion for 'the particular', finding delight in the detail of fauna and flora in the Australian bush and more recently the melancholia of isolation in country New South Wales .
Fell Jones has been a finalist in
- Archibald Portrait Prize held annually by the Gallery of NSW,
- Sporting Archibald held in 2000 to coincide with the Sydney Olympic Games.
- Salon de Refuse of the Archibald Portrait Prize,
- Semi-finalist in the Doug Moran Portrait prize
- Portia Geach Painting Prize held in the SH Irvin for Australian Women artists.
- NSW Parliamentary Plein Air Art Prize.
She has had solo shows with the James Harvey Gallery in Balmain/Clovelly, the Switchback Gallery attached to Monash University in Victoria, the Mary Place Gallery in Paddington, the M16 Gallery in the ACT, and the SouthHill Gallery in Goulburn
